ClickBank Tracking

If you are a Thrive user already, you know that most of the time you depend on Thrive’s post-back URL to call back to Thrive whenever one of your offers receives a conversion.

ClickBank, however, doesn’t support this capability. Instead, they have their own version of a conversion post-back called the “Instant Notification Service”. With this integration, when you get sales, Thrive will automatically be notified in real time of conversion just like using its post-back URL for other offers.

Here’s a quick and easy guide on how to set it up.

First, grab the ClickBank-specific URL from the Thrive's Tracking section:

Go to the bottom of Pixels & PostBack page and copy the URL in Step 2:

Then, log into your ClickBank interface and go to Vendor Settings > My Site.

Scroll down to Advanced Tools and click on the Edit in the top right corner.

On that page, enter your secret key in the Secret Key field. 

Key must be all uppercase, can contain letters and numbers, and not more than 15 characters.

Below, paste in the URL that you copied from Thrive:

Make sure that Version 7.0 is selected and then click “Test IPN”.
If the test was successful, the URL is marked as Verified next to the URL field.

Copy the secret key and go into Thrive to enter it:

The last thing you need to do is to add a Clickbank offer to the ThriveTracker.
Copy the offer URL (HopLink) that has been generated in ClickBank and place it in Thrive.
Make sure you have tid={subid} appended to your offer URL.



Once you’ve completed Step 1 and Step 2, and set up the campaign and the offer in Thrive, you’re all set!
When you get sales, THRIVE will get notified of the conversions in real time.
