Postback URLs require a unique click ID be passed through in order to properly fire. If you will be placing a postback url on your traffic source in Thrive, you will want to make sure to use our {externalid} token.
For example, let's say you are using ReklamStoreDSP as your traffic source:
They reserve the &key= parameter for the unique clickID, so we would add in our externalID token there:
http://pxl.reklamselfie.com/log?action=conversion&key={externalid}&price={amount}
You will also want to make sure to fill in the External ID row in the custom variable section below so that we can receive the clickID back from the traffic source through the campaign URL.
The parameter can be any value you want. The placeholder must be the token provided by the traffic source.
In our ReklamStoreDSP example, their token for this is [CLICK_ID] so I have added that as my placeholder below.
This will automatically then add &clickid=[CLICK_ID] to my campaign URL so that when we provide this URL to the traffic source, it will come through with the unique ID to us. We will then pass it back to them through their postback and our externalID token.
