To manage custom domains and subdomains within the Thrive platform, please follow these steps:
-
Access the Settings: Begin by navigating to the upper right corner of your Thrive installation where you will find the 'Settings' option.
-
Select 'Custom Domains': Within the Settings menu, locate and select the 'Custom Domains' option.
-
Add/Remove Domains: In the Custom Domains section, you will find the functionality to add or remove domains and subdomains. This includes the ability to configure SSL encryption for these custom domains.
-
Adding a Desired Domain: When adding a domain, you will receive four nameservers (NS) that must be configured with your domain registrar. This step is essential to establish the necessary DNS linkage.
-
SSL Encryption Setup: After successfully configuring the nameservers and allowing time for them to propagate, you will gain access to the option for installing free SSL encryption. SSL encryption ensures secure data transmission between users and your Thrive installation.
It is important to note the following:
-
Exclusive Use: Any domain or subdomain added in this process must be dedicated solely to your Thrive installation. These custom domains cannot be utilized to serve other landing pages or content.
-
Nameserver Requirements: Each subdomain must have the capacity to accommodate four nameservers. Ensure that your DNS infrastructure meets this requirement as it is crucial for ThriveTracker's custom domain setup. By following these instructions, you can effectively manage custom domains and subdomains within the Thrive platform while maintaining the necessary level of compatibility and security.
